Beynat ( Occitan Beinat ) is a French municipality with 1258 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Brive-la-Gaillarde and the canton Midi Corrézien , of which it is the capital. The inhabitants call themselves Beynatois (es).
geography
Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 24 kilometers northeast, Brive-la-Gaillarde about 21 kilometers northwest and Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne about 22 kilometers southeast. The Roanne , a tributary of the Corrèze , flows through the municipality.
