Beynat

Beynat ( Occitan Beinat ) is a French municipality with 1258 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Brive-la-Gaillarde and the canton Midi Corrézien , of which it is the capital. The inhabitants call themselves Beynatois (es).

Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 24 kilometers northeast, Brive-la-Gaillarde about 21 kilometers northwest and Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne about 22 kilometers southeast. The Roanne , a tributary of the Corrèze , flows through the municipality.

Neighboring municipalities of Beynat are Le Chastang in the north, Sainte-Fortunade in the northeast, Albussac in the east, Ménoire in the southwest, Le Pescher , Sérilhac and Lagleygeolle in the south, Lanteuil and Albignac in the west and Palazinges in the west and northwest.

Junction 49 to Autoroute A20 is about 27 kilometers to the northwest.
