Chauffour-sur-Vell ( Occitan Chauç Forn ) is a French commune in the department of Corrèze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine on the western edge of the Massif Central . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Brive-la-Gaillarde and the canton of Midi Corrézien . The inhabitants call themselves Chauffourmais (es).

geography

Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 42 kilometers north, Brive-la-Gaillarde about 25 kilometers northwest and Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne about 25 kilometers southeast. Neighboring communities of Chauffour-sur-Vell are Meyssac in the north, Saint-Julien-Maumont in the north-east, Branceilles in the east, Les Quatre-Routes-du-Lot in the south, Saillac in the west and Collonges-la-Rouge in the north-west.
