The Maumont (in the upper reaches: Maumont Blanc ) is a river in France that runs in the Corrèze department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises in the municipality of Favars , drains with many changes of direction generally to the southwest, takes on its twin river Maumont Noir from the left , calls itself only Maumont and after a total of 37 kilometers it flows just west of Brive-la-Gaillarde , in the municipality of Ussac , as a right tributary into the Corrèze , which reaches the Vézère about 500 meters further below .
