The Canton Montereau-Fault-Yonne is a French constituency in the arrondissements Fontainebleau and Provins in Seine-et-Marne and the region Ile-de-France ; its main town is Montereau-Fault-Yonne , and Léo Aïello ( PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Department since 2004 .

Until the reorganization, the canton Claye-Souilly consisted of the 14 municipalities of Barbey , La Brosse-Montceaux , Cannes-Écluse , Courcelles-en-Bassée , Esmans , Forges , La Grande-Paroisse , Laval-en-Brie , Marolles-sur-Seine , Misy-sur-Yonne , Montereau-Fault-Yonne , Saint-Germain-Laval , Salins and Varennes-sur-Seine . Its layout corresponded to an area of 181.45 km 2 .
