Orvanne is a former municipality in Île-de-France that existed briefly from January 1, 2015 to January 1, 2016. The municipality belonged to the Seine-et-Marne department and the Fontainebleau arrondissement . On January 1, 2013, it had 6,777 inhabitants.
Historical development
It was created through the amalgamation of Écuelles and Moret-sur-Loing on January 1, 2015. These previously independent municipalities were converted into Communes deleguées .
With effect from January 1, 2016, Orvanne was merged with Épisy and Montarlot to form Commune nouvelle Moret Loing et Orvanne .
With effect from January 1, 2017, the Commune nouvelle was expanded and changed to the spelling Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne .
