Champagne-sur-Seine is located in the arrondissement of Fontainebleau and belongs to the canton of Montereau-Fault-Yonne . The inhabitants are called the Champenois .
geography
Champagne-sur-Seine is, as the name suggests, on the Seine . Neighboring municipalities are Héricy and Machault in the north, Vernou-la-Celle-sur-Seine in the east, Saint-Mammès in the south, Veneux-les-Sablons in the south-west, Thomery in the west and Vulaines-sur-Seine and Samoreau in the north-west.
The aqueduct of the Voulzie over the Seine from 1926 is worth seeing .
