Nemours is a French city with 13,081 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France .
location
Nemours is located 70 kilometers southeast of Paris ( BP ) in the Arrondissement of Fontainebleau on the Loing River and on the Canal du Loing , which accompanies the river of the same name.
history
In the Middle Ages , Nemours was the name given to the Duchy of Nemours , which stretched along the middle course of the Seine to the Duchy of Orléans .
