Geoffrey Edwin Kondogbia (born February 15, 1993 in Nemours , Île-de-France ) is a Central African - French football player who plays for the Spanish first division club Valencia CF. The central midfielder is the Central African Republic captain . He is considered the most successful Central African of all time.
Career

Kondogbia, whose parents come from the Central African Republic, played for FC Nandy in his youth before joining the French professional club RC Lens in 2004 through US Sénart-Moissy . There he first went through the youth teams. In August 2010 he ran for the first time for the second team; He made his professional debut on November 21, 2010 in Ligue 1 . He was 17 years old at the time. In the 2010/11 season he made a total of three games for his team, which was relegated to the French second division at the end of the season. In the following season 2011/12 he became a regular player and completed 32 league games in which he scored one goal. Ultimately, he moved to Spanish first division club Sevilla in July 2012 , with whom he signed a contract until 2017. After he was mostly only a substitute at the beginning of the season, he fought his way into the club's starting XI during the year and made 37 competitive appearances in his debut season in Spain.
On August 30, 2013, Kondogbia moved back to Ligue 1 for AS Monaco , where he signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2018. On September 15, he came in a league game against FC Lorient for his first competitive game for Monaco. In defensive midfield he became an important pillar of the team.
After two years in Monaco Kondogbia was transferred again and moved to Italy to Inter Milan .
In the summer of 2017, Kondogbia switched to Valencia CF on loan, including a purchase option. Then Valencia CF signed him firmly, with a contract term until 2022.
National team
Kondogbia went through from the U-16 to every youth national team in France. Most often - 12 times each - he appeared for the U-18 and U-19 .
