Gonçalo Manuel Ganchinho Guedes (born November 29, 1996 in Benavente ) is a Portuguese football player .

Career

In the club

Gonçalo Guedes went through several youth departments of the Portuguese record champions Benfica Lisbon . The Portuguese was able to set the first accents in the 2013/14 UEFA Youth League , where he and Benfica's juniors lost 3-0 to FC Barcelona in the final . Competing Guedes could in eight games four goals and a template obtained. Just five days later, on April 19, 2014, Guedes made his professional debut at Benfica B against FC Porto B in the Segunda Liga . The only 17-year-old striker was able to convince and became a regular in the B-team for the 2014/15 season. The Portuguese made his debut for the first team on October 18, 2014 in the cup match against SC Covilhã . His first game in the Primeira Liga denied Guedes on January 4, 2015 compared to FC Penafiel .

On 30 September 2015, aged 18 and 305 days, Guedes scored his first UEFA Champions League goal against Atlético Madrid , making him the youngest ever Portuguese goalscorer in the competition.

At the end of January 2017, Guedes moved to the French Ligue 1 to Paris Saint-Germain for a transfer fee of 30 million euros, which can be increased by seven million euros through bonus payments . By the end of the season he made seven league appearances - mostly as a substitute.

After Paris Saint-Germain in the summer Neymar and Kylian Mbappe undertook moved Guedes, who had come yet to an Substitutes on the opening day, September 1, 2017 loan until the end of the season 2017/18 in the Spanish La Liga for FC Valencia .
