The FC Penafiel , officially Futebol Clube de Penafiel is a Portuguese football club It was 1951 founded and is in Penafiel , in the north of Portugal , is home. The home stadium is called Estádio 25 de Abril . The club colors are red and black.
The club's greatest success so far is promotion to the first division in the 2003/04 season , which, however, was followed by relegation in the 2005/06 season . In the 2007/08 season the club was only penultimate and was relegated from the 2nd division, which was followed by promotion in the following season.
