União Desportiva Oliveirense is a sports club from the Portuguese city of Oliveira de Azeméis in the north of the country, which was created on October 25, 1922 as a football club through a split from Sport Clube Oliveirense . The soccer team played one season in the first division in the 1940s. The professional basketball and roller hockey teams can boast national and international successes .
The football team rose to the top division in 1945, but rose immediately with only three wins and two draws from the then twelve-league. Since then, the club has mainly played in the second and third leagues. A relative success was the advance into the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup 2011/12 , where the club failed at the eventual winner Académica de Coimbra with 0-1 and 2-2.
The football team plays its home games in the club's own Estádio Carlos Osório. The stadium holds around 9,000 spectators, 1670 of whom are seated, and bears the name of the landowner who made the terrain available in the mid-1940s. It is halfway to the neighboring city of Aveiro and formally on their territory.
The basketball players won the Portuguese Cup in 2003. The roller hockey team won the Portuguese Cup in 1997 and 2011. The highlight, however, was winning the UEFA Cup equivalents CERS Cup in 1997. In 2010, the club took fourth place in the international roller hockey ranking.
