The FC Famalicão is a football club founded in 1931 in the northern Portuguese city of Vila Nova de Famalicão . The club has played six seasons so far (1946/47, 1978/79 and 1990-1994) in the Primeira Liga . After the following years in lower-class leagues, the club rose again to the Primeira Liga as runner-up in the LigaPro 2018/19 .

The club plays its home games at Estádio Municipal 22 de Junho .
