The Estádio Municipal 22 de Junho is a football stadium in the Portuguese city of Vila Nova de Famalicão in the Braga district . It was built under the name Campo dos Bargos and inaugurated on September 21, 1952. The stadium is home to FC Famalicão , which has played in the Primeira Liga , Portugal's top division, since its promotion in 2019 . It has a capacity of 8,000 spectators. The owner is the Câmara Municipal .
history
The stadium was opened on September 21, 1952 with a tournament by FC Famalicão with FC Porto , Boavista Porto and local rivals Sporting Braga . Initially, it consisted of a lawn and level auditoriums. In 1977 grandstands were built on the two long sides and the playing field was partially framed with a concrete wall.
