The Estádio João Cardoso ( German João Cardoso Stadium , full name: Complexo Desportivo Estádio João Cardoso ) is a football stadium in the Portuguese district town of Tondela , Viseu district . It is owned and hosted by the CD Tondela football club ( Clube Desportivo de Tondela ).
history
Inaugurated in 2008, the stadium is located in the Complexo Desportivo Tondela in the center of the city and offers 2,586 seats for visitors. The tiers of the horseshoe-shaped stadium with a covered main grandstand have yellow and green plastic seats in the club colors. Furthermore belongs to the sports complex u. a. a soccer field with artificial turf and floodlights , a sports hall , parking spaces, changing rooms, office space of the club, a press conference room , a weight room , a room for medical care and an area with a sauna , whirlpool and an anti-fatigue pool.
CD Tondela, founded in 1933, was promoted to the Primeira Liga , the top Portuguese division, for the first time in the 2015/16 season . In order to adapt the system to the requirements of the Primeira Liga, the district council of Tondela granted the club a loan of up to two million euros in a council decision at the beginning of June .
