The CD Tondela ( Clube Desportivo de Tondela ) is a football club from the central Portuguese district town of Tondela .
history
The club was created on June 6, 1933 from the merger of the Tondela Futebol Club, founded in 1925, and the Operário Atlético Clube, founded in 1932 . The club's greatest success to date was promotion to the Segunda League in 2012 . In 2015 they became champions of the 2nd division and rose from the Liga de Honra to the Primeira Liga .
