The Estádio da Mata Real is a football stadium in the Portuguese city of Paços de Ferreira . The football club FC Paços de Ferreira plays its home games here. It was opened on October 7, 1973 and today has 6,452 seats. The opening game took place between Paços de Ferreira and SC Vianense (0-0). The spectator seats are distributed over the main stand, an opposite stand and a tier behind the right gate; seen from the main stand. After the promotion to the Liga Sagres in 2000 , the seats in all ranks were renewed. For renewed promotion (2004) to the top division, the stadium was renovated from 2013 to 2014 and a new stand was built. The sports facility also has three training fields , including an artificial turf field .
