E-selectin (synonym E-selectin , CD62E ) is a surface protein from the group of selectins .
properties
E-selectin is a lectin and participates in cell adhesion in an immune reaction . It mediates cell contacts between neutrophils and endothelial cells by binding to PSGL1 . E-selectin is glycosylated .
