National Center for Biotechnology Information
The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI; German National Center for Biotechnology Information ) in Bethesda , Maryland was in 1988 as a central institution for data processing and data storage in the molecular biology founded. It is a subsidiary of the United States National Library of Medicine (NLM), which in turn is a subsidiary of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
