Soisy-sur-Seine lies on the Seine . Soisy-sur-Seine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montgeron in the north, Brunoy in the north-east, Épinay-sous-Sénart in the east, Étiolles in the south-east, Évry in the south and south-west, Ris-Orangis in the west and Draveil in the north-west.
Part of the Forêt de Sénart is in the municipality. Route nationale 6 runs along the eastern edge .
