Prunay-sur-Essonne is a French municipality with 295 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement Évry and the canton Mennecy (until 2015: canton Milly-la-Forêt ). The inhabitants are called Prunaysia .
geography
Prunay-sur-Essonne is located about 55 kilometers south of Paris on the Essonne River , which forms the eastern municipal boundary. The municipality is located in the Gâtinais français Regional Nature Park . Prunay-sur-Essonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gironville-sur-Essonne in the north, Buno-Bonnevaux in the east, Boigneville in the south and Champmotteux in the west and southwest.
