geography
Vert-le-Petit is located about 39 kilometers south-east of Paris on the Essonne River , into which the Juine flows, which also forms the southern municipal boundary. In the north the municipality is bounded by Vert-le-Grand , in the northeast by Écharcon , in the east by Fontenay-le-Vicomte , in the southeast by Ballancourt-sur-Essonne , in the south by Itteville , in the west and southwest by Saint-Vrain as well to the west and northwest through Leudeville .
