Gironville-sur-Essonne is about 53 kilometers south of Paris on the Essonne River . The municipality is located in the Gâtinais français Regional Nature Park . Gironville-sur-Essonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Maisse in the north, Buno-Bonnevaux in the east, Prunay-sur-Essonne in the south, Champmotteux in the south and south-west, Mespuits in the west and Valpuiseaux in the north-west.
