Lisses is a French municipality with 7445 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Canton Corbeil-Essonnes in Arrondissement Évry , in the department of Essonne and the region Ile-de-France . The inhabitants are called Lissois .
geography
Lisses is about 30 kilometers south-southeast of Paris . Lisses is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Courcouronnes in the north, Évry in the northeast, Corbeil-Essonnes in the east, Villabé in the southeast, Mennecy in the south, Écharon in the southwest, Vert-le-Grand in the west and Bondoufle in the northwest. The Essonne limits the municipality in the south.
The A6 autoroute and the Francilienne Paris ring road run through Lisses .
