history

The community emerged as a unified community on September 11, 2003 through the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent communities Deersheim , Hessen , Osterode am Fallstein , Rohrsheim , Veltheim and Zilly as well as the city of Dardesheim , which became districts of the new community. The administrative community of Aue-Fallstein , which was formed by the united communities, also ceased to exist. From January 1, 2005 until its dissolution on December 31, 2009, the community was a member of the Osterwieck-Fallstein administrative communityand thus no longer a unitary church. On January 1, 2010, the previously independent communities of Aue-Fallstein, Berßel , Bühne , Lüttgenrode , Rhoden , Schauen and Wülperode merged with the city of Osterwieck to form the new city of Osterwieck. The districts of Aue-Fallstein became districts of Osterwieck.
