Dardesheim
Dardesheim is a district of the town of Osterwieck in the Harz district in Saxony-Anhalt .
history
On September 30, 1928, the manor Dardesheim was united with the city of Dardesheim.
Dardesheim was an independent city until September 11, 2003. With the municipalities of Deersheim , Hessen , Osterode am Fallstein , Rohrsheim , Veltheim and Zilly , Dardesheim was merged to form the municipality of Aue-Fallstein . On January 1, 2010, Aue-Fallstein merged with the other municipalities of the Osterwieck-Fallstein administrative community to form the new town of Osterwieck, whose district has been Dardesheim ever since.
Energy generation
Dardesheim is a location where wind energy from the Druiberg wind farm in particular generates a multiple of the energy that the district itself consumes. Wind power has been used since 1994. There has been a green electricity filling station in town since 2008. In May 2015 Dardesheim was named an “Energy Commune”.
Culture and sights
Since 2005 the Rock im May open air festival has been held in Dardesheim every year . In addition, the Rock im Mai e. V. another beach party .
The traditional city orchestra of Dardesheim has already won the German championship of the German Federal Association of Musicians, Fanfare, Horns and Music Trains (DBV) five times (1998, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2012). V. in the orchestra / big band category. In addition to these successes, many excellent placements at state championships have been achieved in recent years.
