Erich von Gustedt

Erich Karl Eduard von Gustedt (born February 23, 1849 in Dardesheim , † December 21, 1928 in Hanover ) was a Prussian major general and Knight of Honor of the Order of St. John .

Life

His parents were the landowner and district administrator Gustav von Gustedt and Clementine, née Countess von Flemming . He was married to Johanne Luise, née von Nathusius (1851–1934); a daughter of August von Nathusius . The couple had five daughters and one son.

After training in the cadet corps , Gustedt was transferred to the Westphalian Dragoon Regiment No. 7 of the Prussian Army in Stendal . With this regiment he took part in the war against France as a lieutenant in 1870/71 and was awarded the Iron Cross . From 1878 Gustedt stood with the relocated regiment in Saarbrücken . There were other Andie Come stakes, so to the Military Riding Institute for Hannover or elk in East Prussia . As a pensioner he lived in Hanover, where he was buried.
