action

Two years ago it looked as if the singer Tima Sombor was about to have a glamorous career. But then suddenly the tide turns when her husband has a bad accident in a car race and she now has to take care of him more. One day she receives a surprising phone call; she is supposed to stand in for the sick singer at a private performance in the villa of industrialist Henrik Balder. At the party, the two get a little closer. Tima takes the opportunity and asks the manufacturer to do something for her injured husband. During a conversation between the two men, however, Stefan asked Balder to give his wife the chance to resume her career, which was interrupted because of him.

So it is that Tima is offered a film role. Soon people in the studio are whispering that Tima is Balder's lover and that he has bought her the role. When asked about this, Balder frankly admits that this is the case. But he still firmly believes in Tima's talent.

When one night in Balder's holiday home, Tima cannot meet his requirements. She confesses to her lover that she cannot forget her husband. Balder believes that Tima is only sticking to Stefan out of pity. He then makes sure that Stefan should take the first trip in a turbine car, even though he hasn't been behind the wheel for two years. Tima absolutely wants to prevent the test drive. So she offers Balder to stay with him. When the couple meet at the racetrack, however, Tima feels that her real place is at Stefan's side. Balder has to realize that his adventure with the singer is finally over.

criticism

The lexicon of international films does not think much of the strip: "A dream product based on the motifs of a trivial, everyday novel by Lajos Zilahy."
