Rutherglen and Hamilton West is a constituency for the British House of Commons . It was re-formed in the course of the 2005 constituency reform from parts of the dissolved constituencies Hamilton South and Glasgow Rutherglen . Rutherglen and Hamilton West includes the northern areas of the Council Area South Lanarkshire with the eponymous towns of Rutherglen and Hamilton , with only the western part of Hamilton being covered. The constituency sends a representative.
