Banff and Buchan is a constituency for the British House of Commons . It was created in 1983 and covers the northeastern areas of the Aberdeenshire Council Area . The congruent constituency of the same name for the Scottish Parliament was dissolved as part of the constituency reform in 2011 in favor of the newly created constituency of Banffshire and Buchan Coast . The constituency sends a representative.
