Midlothian is a constituency for the British House of Commons . It was created in 1955 from the dissolved constituency of Midlothian and Peebles . Since the 2005 constituency reform, the constituency has fully covered the Midlothian Council Area . Previously, the city of Penicuik was in the dissolved neighboring constituency of Tweeddale, Ettrick and Lauderdale . The constituency sends a representative.
