East Renfrewshire

East Renfrewshire is a constituency for the British House of Commons . It was created in 1885 and lasted until the 1983 general election when it was dissolved in favor of the newly created Eastwood constituency . As part of the 2005 constituency reform, East Renfrewshire was reintroduced. The constituency covers the same areas as Eastwood, so it was just a change of name. The corresponding Eastwood constituency for the Scottish Parliament continues to exist independently under that name. The constituency covers the entire East Renfrewshire council area . The constituency sends a representative.
