Outer Hebrides

Na h-Eileanan an Iar ( Western Isles until 2005 ) is a constituency for the British House of Commons . By 1918, the Outer Hebrides was integrated into two constituencies of the Highlands , Ross and Cromarty and Inverness-shire . In 1918 the archipelago was spun off from these as a separate constituency. It thus covers the entire current Outer Hebrides Council Area and is congruent with the constituency of the same name for the Scottish Parliament . The constituency sends a representative.
