Since McGrigor was also on the regional electoral list of the Conservatives for the electoral region Highlands and Islands , he moved as one of seven regional candidates in the newly created Scottish Parliament as a result of the election result . Even the direct mandate of the Argyll and Bute constituency , in which McGrigor ran in the parliamentary elections in 2007 and 2011 , he could not win. In both cases, however, he defended his mandate for the electoral region. At the parliamentary elections in 2016 McGrigor has not raced for more and different to the end of the legislature out of the Scottish Parliament.
