Airdrie and Shotts is a constituency for the British House of Commons . It was created in 1997 and covers parts of the North Lanarkshire Council Area . The largest city within its borders is the eponymous Airdrie . The constituency is congruent with the constituency of the same name for the Scottish Parliament . A representative is sent.
