Aberdeen South is a constituency for the British House of Commons . It was created in 1885 and today covers the southern areas of the Aberdeen Council Area . However, over the decades, its boundaries have changed several times. The congruent constituency for the Scottish Parliament was abolished in the course of the constituency reform before the Scottish parliamentary elections in 2011 and was essentially incorporated into the newly created constituency of Aberdeen South and North Kincardine . The constituency sends a representative.
