Angus is a constituency for the British House of Commons . It was created in 1997 and covers the Council Area Angus , with an area in the southwest being added to the neighboring constituencies of Dundee East and Dundee West . The constituency of the same name for the Scottish Parliament was abolished as part of the 2011 constituency reform. Its areas have largely been absorbed into the new constituencies of Angus North and Mearns and Angus South . A representative is sent.
