Angus North and Mearns is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 2011 as one of ten constituencies in the electoral region of North East Scotland , which was redesigned and expanded from nine to ten constituencies as part of the constituencies' revision in 2011. Here, the constituency of Angus North and Mearns was formed from areas of the former constituencies West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine and Angus and the northeastern parts of the former constituency North Tayside of the neighboring electoral region Mid Scotland and Fife . It covers southern areas of the Council Area Aberdeenshire and parts of Angus with the towns of Brechin , Forfar and Stonehaven . The constituency sends a representative.

The constituency covers an area of ​​1,442.8 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 70,567 people lived within its borders.
