Glasgow North East is a constituency for the British House of Commons . It was created in 2005 and covers the northeastern areas of the Council Area Glasgow . The constituency sends a representative.

Before the general election in 2005, ten constituencies covered the Council Area Glasgow, but also extended beyond the borders of Glasgow. In 2005, the constituency structure was revised and Glasgow was subdivided into seven constituencies, which, however, now lie exclusively within the boundaries of the Council Area and completely cover them. In this context, Glasgow North East was introduced.
