Dundee West is a constituency for the British House of Commons . It was created in 1950, but the boundaries have been redrawn several times over the decades. Dundee West comprises the western part of the city of Dundee , but also small areas in the southwest of the Council Area Angus . The constituency of Dundee West for the Scottish Parliament was congruent until 2005 and was dissolved in 2011 in favor of Dundee City West . The constituency sends a representative.
