Gerd Pützer (born March 28, 1938 in Stolberg ) is a former German local politician ( CDU ) of the city of Bonn . From 1969 to 1994 he was a directly elected member for the Beuel-Mitte district of the City of Bonn Council, in which he was particularly committed to its structural development. In 1996 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his 25 years of voluntary work for the city of Bonn .

Life

Gerd Pützer worked as the head of the construction department of Sparkasse Bonn (1971 to 2002) and as a self-employed publicly appointed expert for developed and undeveloped properties (1973 to 2008). He has been married since 1959, has two children and lives in Bonn-Beuel.

Gerd Pützer is a nephew of the aircraft designer Alfons Pützer .

Social Commitment

An expert report by the District President Heinrich Stakemeier , drawn up in 1967 on the instructions of the Minister of the Interior of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia , came to the conclusion that the city of Bonn had not been able to fulfill the task of assuming the functions of a federal capital since it was designated the provisional federal capital in 1949. At that time still chairman of the local association of the Junge Union Beuel, Pützer planned to help change this and in 1969 at the age of 31 he joined the new council of the city of Bonn as one of the youngest city councilors.

On August 1, 1969, the cities of Bad Godesberg and Beuel as well as nine municipalities of the Duisdorf office were incorporated on the basis of the Bonn Act . The number of inhabitants doubled and extensive tasks arose to reorganize the Bonn area. The building and awarding committee under Pützer's chairmanship (1971–1994) coordinated several hundred urban construction sites, including the reorganization of flood protection, the construction of sewage treatment plants, wastewater protection, the planning of the individual city districts, new urban buildings, swimming pools, pedestrian zones, parking lots and the subway . In urban construction projects, Pützer also campaigned for the interests of people with mobility problems and environmental protection. He was involved in committees and bodies and was appointed as deputy chairman of the supervisory board of the Bonn Federal Horticultural Show in 1979 and chairman of the company's "coordinating working committee for planning and programs". He was also a member of various juries, including a. Kunstmuseum Bonn (1985), Art and Exhibition Hall (1986), House of History (1986), Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation (1987), Federal Council (1989), Regional and District Court (1994).

Pützer was a co-initiator and, as a city councilor, accompanied building projects for the area of ​​his electoral district so u. a. the expansion of the school buildings, the expansion of the Rhine facilities, the expansion of the station forecourt, the construction of a swimming pool, the improvement of traffic planning, the construction of a fully biological sewage treatment plant, the workshop theater in the old jute spinning mill, bread factory, the theater of youth, bridge forum or even the preservation of the local museum.

1968–1993 Pützer was chairman of the gymnastics and sports association Bonn on the right bank of the Rhine 1897/07, 1993–2007 honorary chairman. During this time, the club grew into one of the largest sports clubs in the region. Since 1978 Pützer has been honorary senator for the Beuel city soldiers .

The background and effectiveness of Pützer's voluntary work were also questioned. Pützer: "I am available with all my strength ... not only out of a sense of duty, but rather with joy ... ready at any time ... to take responsibility".
