Heinrich Stakemeier

Heinrich "Heinz" Stakemeier (born January 10, 1921 in Eversberg ; † March 2, 1992 ) was a German lawyer , administrative officer and politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Stakemeier began studying law, which he completed in 1947 with the first state examination and in 1951 with the second state examination. In 1949 he was at the University of Cologne to Dr. jur. doctorate (dissertation: The constitutional position of the state governments according to the new constitutions in the three western zones of Germany ). From 1951 to 1953 he worked as an assessor for the Münster district government , was promoted to the government council in 1953 and moved to the Cologne district government in 1956 , where he was appointed senior councilor in 1957. In 1960 a position as a government director at the Arnsberg government followed , since 1961 as a senior government director. From 1964 to 1966 he served as Vice President of the Münster administrative district.

Stakemeier joined the FDP and served as the regional president of the Cologne administrative district in 1966/67 . In 1966 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture and from 1967 to 1970 State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics, Medium-Sized Enterprises and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . On August 1, 1970, he was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior . In 1974 he resigned from the party in protest against a controversial paper by the FDP on the separation of church and state and was then put into temporary retirement on November 4, 1974.
