Franz Grobben

Franz Grobben (born January 17, 1904 in Aldekerk, today in Kerken ; † June 8, 1994 ) was a German administrative officer and politician ( CDU ).

From 1958 to 1966 he was the district president of Cologne .

Due to a police - raid in a " flap " (in the immediate vicinity of the former police headquarters) Franz Grobben was fingerprinted at the Cologne Waidmarkt on 8 June 1966, and launched an investigation against him and other stakeholders. The information got into the press and Grobben resigned from his position “for health reasons”, but possibly also to protect his party, the CDU, from a scandal in the election campaign, as the matter was spread in the tabloid press .

He was a member of the Catholic student union K.St.V. Rheinpfalz Cologne in KV .
