Günter Heidecke
Günter Heidecke (born November 10, 1922 in Cologne ; † June 11, 2011 there ) was a lawyer and administrative officer who also held various honorary positions in retirement.
Life and career
Heidecke joined the "Kölner Ballspielclub von 1901" - a predecessor club of 1. FC Cologne - as a student in 1936 and played basketball in the first team . He also took part in German championships four times as a track and field athlete .
After his military service in 1945, he began studying law at the University of Cologne . After the second state examination in law and a doctorate , he was a judge at the Cologne District Court and Aachen Regional Court for a short time before joining the City of Cologne: from 1955 to 1965 as head of school administration and from 1965 to 1967 as assistant for personnel and organization. Heidecke, a member of the SPD since he was a student, was then appointed by the interior minister of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as regional president of the administrative district of Cologne . In 1978 the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia elected him President of the State Audit Office and the state government appointed him to this office with effect from April 1, 1978, in which he remained until his retirement in 1987. He then settled in the Marienburg district of Cologne as a lawyer and also took on several honorary positions.

- Member of the German Olympic Society and its vice-president from 1973 to 1982
- Member of the Presidium of the National Olympic Committee from 1978 to 1982
- Co-founder of the Friends of Roman Churches in Cologne and chairman from 1981 to 2002
- Member of the Cologne Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation , temporarily also on the board; Heidecke had already promoted student exchanges with Israel during his time in the education authority of the city of Cologne
- Member of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund , Landesverband Nordrhein-Westfalen, whose president from 1968 to 1995
