Glasgow North is a constituency for the British House of Commons . It was created in 2005 and covers the northern areas of the Council Area Glasgow . The constituency sends a representative.

Before the general election in 2005, ten constituencies covered the Council Area Glasgow, but also extended beyond the borders of Glasgow. In 2005 the constituency structure was revised and Glasgow was subdivided into seven constituencies, all of which lie within and fully cover the boundaries of the Council Area. In this context, the constituency of Glasgow North was formed.
