Patrick Grady (born February 5, 1980 in Inverness ) is a Scottish politician of the Scottish National Party (SNP).

Life

McGarry was born in 1980 in Inverness, Highland . After moving to Glasgow to study , he moved his center of life to the city. He has also worked in London and Malawi .

Political career

Grady joined the SNP at the age of 17. In the run-up to the Scottish independence referendum in 2014 , he led the SNP campaign in the Kelvin district of Glasgow .

The British General Election 2015 candidate Grady in the constituency Glasgow North . He competed against Labor MP Ann McKechin , who had held the constituency mandate since it was introduced in 2005. After the SNP had gained massive votes in these elections, Grady achieved the highest share of the vote with 53.1% and subsequently moved into the British House of Commons for the first time . There he is a member of the Procedure Committee and acts as party spokesman for international development. In the early general election in 2017 , Grady held the constituency mandate despite losing votes.
