The Sommerberg is a 669 meter high elevation in the Bavarian Forest in the area of the municipality of Haibach in the Straubing-Bogen district , one kilometer east of the center of Haibach. One kilometer south of the summit of the Sommerberg lies the 728 meter high Winterberg . Lanzlberg is located in the clearing island on the summit plateau . Because of the close spatial proximity, there is a risk of confusion with the 815 meter high summer mountain north of Elisabethszell .
