geography

Vert-le-Grand is located about 32 kilometers southeast of Paris in the Hurepoix countryside . The municipality is bounded in the north by Bondoufle , in the northeast by Lisses , in the east by Écharcon , in the south by Vert-le-Petit , in the west and southwest by Leudeville and in the northwest by Le Plessis-Paté .

In the northwest of the municipality there is a military airfield (Base aérienne 217 Bretigny-sur-Orge).
