The canton Ris-Orangis is a French administrative unit in the arrondissements of Évry and Palaiseau in the department of Essonne and in the region of Île-de-France ; its main town is Ris-Orangis . Thierry Mandon ( PS ) was the representative in the General Council of the Département from 1994 to 2012 . He was followed by Stéphane Raffalli (also PS).
