The canton of Villebon-sur-Yvette was until 2015 a French constituency in the arrondissement Palaiseau , in the department of Essonne and in the region of Île-de-France ; its main town was Villebon-sur-Yvette . Dominique Fontenaille ( DVD ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 2003 to 2015 .

The canton of Villebon-sur-Yvette was 28.11 km² in size and had 21,187 inhabitants ( as of 1999 ), which corresponded to a population density of around 754 inhabitants per km². It was on average 88 meters above sea ​​level , between 43 meters in Champlan and 167 meters in Villejust .
