The canton of Athis-Mons is a French canton in the Arrondissement Palaiseau in the department of Essonne and in the region of Île-de-France ; its main town is Athis-Mons , Patrice Sac ( PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 1998 , last re-elected in 2011. Pascal Picard and Christine Rodier from the UMP since 2015 (until 2021).

Communities

Until the French cantons were reorganized in 2015, the canton consisted of two municipalities. Then the community of Juvisy-sur-Orge , which previously belonged to the now dissolved canton of the same name , was assigned to the canton of Athis-Mons.
